Hailing from the Midwest, Cate Rinto spent her formative years in the cornfields of Ohio. She attended and graduated from Kent State University with a Bachelors degree in Fashion Design. After a period at Zac Posen in New York City, she decided to further her studies at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts, Antwerp in fashion design with an emphasis in screenprinting and knitwear design. She interned with both Gezeever and Maison Tricot while studying.
After finishing her Bachelors’ she began freelance designing in Women’s wear and in print design.
Rinto is currently working as a creative consultant in fashion. She is the founder and creative director of the fashion brand, Kisses with Saliva. Kisses with Saliva focuses on upcycling and knitwear. She operates between New York, Ohio, and Antwerp, Belgium.
